1. Take care of your physical body and your physical space. Cleaning, tidying, decorating and maintaining your hygiene are all very grounding practices.

2. Eat warm, nourishing foods. Especially whole grains, stews, root vegetables, eggs and lean meats if you're not vegetarian.

3. REST. Taking time to slow down and quiet the nervous system helps to balance the root chakra.

4. Set healthy boundaries. Stay in your own energy.

5. Connect with nature even if it's just your houseplants.
