MEDITATION FOR CHRONIC PAIN RELIEF
When we experience pain, it activates our sympathetic nervous system and puts our bodies into a fight or flight state. As it should! If we experience an injury or acute pain, we need to be alerted and ready to act on whatever is causing that pain. But when pain becomes chronic, the nervous system gets stuck in a perpetual and unnecessary state of fight or flight.
This can result in additional stress and tension in the body not related to the underlying cause of the pain. So we basically end up with pain on top of pain.
This guided meditation helps to release that surface-level muscle tension by bringing you into a state of conscious relaxation and may also help alleviate symptoms of chronic pain caused by fibromyalgia, ehlers danlos syndrome, other chronic illnesses or injuries.
